Welcome to Peter Kuruvita.com, the official site of chef and restaurateur Peter Kuruvita.
Born in London to an Austrian mother and a Sri Lankan father, Peter’s cooking career started in Australia over 30 years ago, during the time when modern Australian cuisine was developed. Since then it has spanned many countries and countless kitchens.
Peter is currently known for his work with the fine dining seafood restaurant Flying Fish located on Sydney’s picturesque Jones Bay Wharf, along with Flying Fish Fiji, located at the Sheraton Resort on Denerau Island.
Peter has now extended his career to restaurant consultancy, cookbook author and TV presenter.
“My Sri Lanka with Peter Kuruvita” is a 10 part cooking travel series which aired across Australia on SBS One 2011/2012
His next 10 part series “Island Feast” is currently in post-production and covers the islands of Indonesia, Vanuatu, Philippines and the Cook Islands. It will air May 17th, 2011 on SBS One.
