“From street food and egg hoppers to tea inspired dinners at some of Sri Lanka’s finest dining establishments, Peter will take you behind the scenes to meet the people and discover the spices and ingredients that first ignited his passion for food and which make up Sri Lanka’s melting pot.
From the palm fringed west coast, we travel to the ancient capital Anuradhapura to visit its world heritage listed ruin sites. We continue to the rock fortress of Sigiriya before heading to the hill town of Kandy with its splendid botanical gardens and lush tea plantations.
You’ll then spend a night in the luxurious Lighthouse Hotel in Galle designed by the late Geoffrey Bawa and in the Uda Walawe National Park where you’ll stay in luxury mobile tents and enjoy a sumptuous feast under the stars. Along the way we will try our hand at making egg hoppers and kottu roti as well as cooking our curry lunch in clay pots over an open fire.
