I recently had the honour of being a part of the annual Tastings on Hastings food festival in Port Macquarie.
Up until this festival I’d only ever driven through Port Macquarie once so I was excited to experience one of Australia’s up and coming food destinations and run several cooking demonstrations as well as a dinner at The Fig restaurant.
The produce in the area is truly top quality and the turn-out at the dinner and the festival were educated food-lovers who really know their cuisine. It was genuinely fun to cook for them.
